What JDM pistons??

Basically I'm wondering about CTR pistons vs. JDM ITR pistons. I know alot of guys run CTR pistons but when I look on paper the CTR has a lower compression ratio so I was wondering why do alot of people say get CTR pistons over JDM ITR pistons?

JDM ITR: 11.1:1 CR
CTR: 10.8:1 CR

Correction CTR motor has a compression ratio of 12:5:1 and yes the ITR has 11:1:1...

Depending on the block/head you use the CTR pistons with, the ratio will always be different. But it will raise compression regardless as thats what its meant for, ITR will do the same just not as much due to the fact that its not domed high enough.

I was thinking of the same setup for my jdm b18c.. I might go with ITR pistons because I'm running on 91 octane. I'm saving for my skun2 valve-train...
