I had a cometic headgasket and popped it last summer and had weird engine temps with it on my car. Replaced it with an oem...no weird engine temps and solid as a rock. I know a lot of ppl use them and have no problems. But i was one of the ppl that did. I won't go back to them.

This guy has a sweet turbo build, you can't go wrong with this advice.

well when its a DSM you have to keep it running long enough for a head gasket issue ba da ba ching. :lol:

yes.. lol what a misconception on the actual job of a head gasket...

There is nothing to blow out a head gasket but age, and engine problems..

only a few things will blow a head gasket

Head bolts not torqued properly or to the right spec
age
detonation
contaminates

I mean yes I have built a 700hp V8 using GM head gaskets.. and NO problems.. I have built a 10 sec Conquest using a stock head gasket, I have built almost ever engine I do with STOCK gaskets..

My rotary is put together using all MAZDA seals, rings and gaskets.

ah, good deal. thanks. well, its easy to assume you would need a better gasket for more horsepower. OEM will be my choice then.
