What's the best Oil for a GSR!?

Hmmm its oil change time for me!

What do you guys think is the best oil out there for a 96 GSR?

castrol syntec with kn filter, this combo comes on sale sometimes for 30bucks at autozone. when my gsr was burning oil and ran horrible, this oil kept the cleanest the longest. tried m1, amsoil, penz, all synthetic -turning black in a month or so. Just my 2cents

Hmmm i havent really ran synthetic in my car because the previous owner didnt
so would something happen if i start running it now?

i would go with eneos 5w-30 synthetic

nothing will happen...but if u do decide to go synthetic...u cant go bak to regular

but i love synthetic im sure u will too

I was thinking going eneos.
As far as filter idk yet they told royal purple
is good stuff but not sure any of u guys use royal purple?
Why is synthetic better what are the goods since i cant go back?:shock:

Royal Purple is for race engines. Why use that for DD unless you want to wase $

Mobil 1 full synthetic
10w-30 after 80-100k

i think this depends heavily on the driver's choice of driving. if you pop the vtec consistantly, you would prob want a higher performance based oil. i have a stock motor and drive the slow lane on the fwy so , honda's oem oil and filters work fine @ $20 every 4K.

not being able to go back is a misconception put out there by the oil companies so that you will keep spending money on them

now mixing synthetic and conventional is a big NO
you can go back but only if you completely drain the oil
i use royal purple and it works just fine in my DD
