wheel and tire size help

The only thing I have found on this site are tire calculators and look at my wheel threads. I want to know if it is possible to rum a 215/45r16 with a 35 offset and not rub. My car is pretty low. someone took sportline springs and cut a little off. the top of my blades are just in the fender. not really looking for opinions just facts,

Why not just go with 205/50?

if 16" he's better off with a 205/45. Instead of getting something wider spend the extra money for a tire with better grip. I know the BFGoodrich KDW come in that size
