Gorilla Unit 33

Well heres how it goes. Me and my friend are on our way to dog box racing in NJ to drop off his DSM last monday arround noon time. Were on the jersey turnpike just cruising at 60 in the slow lane since we almost got ran off the road numerous times by these tractor trailers needless to say and our exit was 5 miles away (7a). sitting in the slow lane in 5th gear about 3800 rpms...
all i heard was a vacum type sound booossss and a few tings and clang's and immeadiately the motor shut off. Then the smoke, look in my rear veiw my buddy in his DSM cuts off traffic and flys arround me, more smoke, and me just sitting there starring stunned into the gauge cluster llokgin for some sort of sign check engiine, low oil, something yet i was met with no reasoning NOTHING whats so ever. There was never any knock , i compression tested the motor every oil change always came out perfect accross all 4 yet no sign of this happening. It wasnt even like i was beating the shit out of my car i was truthfully driving like my grandmother. No explaination for what happened, yet. Although i found peices of my block scattered accross the lanes and shoulder.
I get out pop the hood just a continuous cloud of smoke, and every time a trailer passed us the smoke would clear and i would just see oil sprayed up against the firewall. I was pissed and stunned at the same time, then realized i was getting ran over by my car because i was in such a rush to look under the hood i left it out of gear without the e-break on. haha
NEVER get towed off the NJ turnpike from Turnquist garage/towing company. Some of you may know the NJ turnpike only lets contracted tow companies by them on the turnpike to pick people up, which sucked cause the guy could utter only the smallest of words in english. Not to mention the idiot hooked up the chains on the front support and when pulling the front onto the bed the chains got caught on the lower part of the bumper cracking the lip (note i knew the lower lenses were fucked up, i could careless with the new front end is coming). i tried to point it out to him and he didnt wanna do anything just kept pulling it up onto the bed. get to the garage cost me 80 bucks just to get off the turn pike! then when he dropped the car s that the AAA guy could put it on his flat bed he scapped the whole front end on the last 6ft of bed fucking the whole front bumper up. Chipped & spydered paint all over the front bumper. (he tried to say it was like that, then i had to hold my friend back from going after the guy cause it was deffinately not like that, thank god i had my video camera with me and had pictures on the side of the highway before we got picked up and after he dropped us off! hahaha SUCKER's
Anyway so make a long story shorter AAA guy was cool as shit and only took him 5 minutes to get there. Although it cost me 200 bucks to get from where i was at in jersey to my place outisde sw philadelphia. where it now sits in my friends shop. We believe the rod spun, and i think the head is fine thank god. take a look!
so what are my plans now... well as some of you know i had some k series parts, FUCK THAT idea now, and a full turbo kit just shy of a slim fan. So now im having an LS botom end full balanced, built and professionally blueprinted from Mahler engine services ( a good friend works for them) they built my friends 480+ whp turbo integra. 9 to 1 compression and basically "bomb proof" should be back on the road and boosted in 4 weeks. although there goes all my tax return money ;( i will have fun though finally boosted with nothing to worry about.
