Wats a good motor to put in my 2000 teg to start off so I can save up for a better motor?

you can buy my ls swap for 1500
it's a steep price but its got low low miles.

sell your teg and buy a GSR or just save up for kseries.

but before you do any of that, start researching on the different engines available for tegs and their pros/cons

No. It really depends on the condition of the engine.

why not just opt for a vtec head and build from that?

It's all in where you look. Craigslist is cheap. Some engines should be rebuilt before a swap anyway, IMO, but it depends on the mileage and if it was taken care of too.

It had a b16a but I sold it I want to drop something simple in it that still has some balls lol
