which Optima battery

I was planning on getting a system soon for my car and also getting a new battery to be able to host this system. I am looking at optima batteries right now, just wanted to know what color tops you guys suggest... some people say the red top is better than the yellow one for applications like this but the optima battery suggest otherwise....

i work at an audio shop. we use red under the hood and yellows for extra batterys in ur trunk

i planned on doing the 2 battery setup. would it be wise to get a stronger alternator to charge both batteries?

it wouldnt hurt. but u should be fine as long as ur not drawling tons of current

Optima's own website says the Red tops are more for starting/cranking power, and the Yellow tops are more for car electronics, and the Blue tops are for boats. My 3 amp system in my Civic is slowly killing my normal battery, I'll be picking up a Yellow top pretty soon.
Go to Optima's website, there's a mail in rebate for $25, it expires at the end of August.

get a stronger alternator too I put two batteries in my trunk. and it killed the alternator a month later... They were really good batteries too Both brand new interstate grey tops
