wire needs a home

i was trying to wire up a rpm tach and needed to connect a wire from the tach to this wire under my hood(its the blue one with half of it covered with electrical tape, and has a black box thing at the end of it), it is located at my master cylinder. and i think i unhooked it from something could any one be of assistance to me and help me for what this wire shoud be going to i hope you can make out the picture.

thats your tach wire. thats where i connected my remote start

without the test box on the end of it, it should hang

whats a test box? is it for a remote start?

its not for remote start. i would wire my tach to that if anything and see if tit works if not theres a wire on the dizzy to tap or behind the cluster

hook your tach up to it and see if you get a signal

That's a diagnostic plug connector. The mechanic can plug into it and read your RPM.
