Wiring question

Sup fellas! Ok so, my back lights and turn signals went out, my mechanic found out it was due to trailer hitch wire previous owner had which was grounding out casing resistors. Problem is when I took off t-taps, I ripped the red and green wire in half by accident. This leads to my question, HOW and what is the best way to reconnect these wires? ? ? PLEASE help,

im a fan of those little screw on connectors. they hold pretty well, and just put some electrical tape around it and youll be fine.

ok thanks man! I hate electrical lol. Could I find those at OReillys or Autozone? How about radioshack? LOL thanks again!
