Can you adjust the hood release?

okay, random question?

is there a way to adjust my hood release lever? mine is so gay and loose (that sounded sick eh!?) lol but ne ways back to the hood lever! like i pull it and i get out of the car and lift on hood, nothing, so i go pull it again and get out and lift and then it opens, its just annoying as hell... ne one know anything?
i just want to tighten it so it works better...

try cleaning the lock then apply new greese or oil .. some CNC degreeser or WD40 should do the trick.

its more like, the lever is loose when i pull on it, its kinda like its not tight enough to pull the hood open...

If i remember correctly there is a nut on the side of the lever running over the cable. try tightening that and see what happens.
