Driver side Manual window won't roll up.

I have an 88 Teggy with manual windows. I can roll my window down (difficult) but when I try to roll it up, it pops and I can' get it up more than half way. (I use one hand to pull up, and one to turn the handle to get this window up.)

I got frustrated one day before work, and tried removing my door panel hoping to diagnose the problem. The panel was easy to get off, but decided not to go any further because of work.

What do you guys think the problem is? Either the window is off the tracks or manual crank? Also, I would assume it is okay to remove the paper/plastic underneath the panel correct?

its probably off track. My window would do that too, i would roll halfway up then get stuck.
