Its weird if i turn my key and the cluster comes on and then the check engine light goes off it will start but if it stays on it wont start... any ideas what the problem is?
Pull down the passenger side floor carpet and you'll see a silver panel. At the top you'll see a little glass winder with an LED flashing. Count how mant times it flashes.
You have a CEL (Check Engine Light) and that's what might be cuasing your car from starting.
Mine did the same thing. I replaced the ignition, cap, rotor, main relay and it ended up being the starter. If it doesn't start again, tap the starter with a hammer. If it starts after that then that is your problem
Do you hear your fuel pump prime when you turn the key? If not could be your Main Fuel Relay. Mine used to do that all the time when it got really hot out. You can resolder the contact points on the relay as a DIY fix
