how hard is it to remove a comptech itr lip?

hey guys, i was wondering how hard it would be to remove a comptech itr style lip? when i put it on the double stick tape stuck very well, i wanted to know if any of u guys who have a lip from comptech ever took it out? a winter incident happened and my lip is scratched up and i wanna know if i can take it out to repaint it again. also, if any of u could give me ideas that could help remove the scratches that would be great. whether it be wetsanding and buffing or what ever other method i could do. thanks.

it should come off pretty easily, if you used any screws to hold it on just take them out and use a blow dryer to heat up the double stick tape and it should come right off.

and taking the scratches out all depends on how deep they are, do you have any pics?
