How to tell if plug wires are bad?

how can you check if your spark plug wires are good ?

pull them out and look at them if they look torched then toss em(if u do i suggest gettin the new iridium spark plugs)

how many miles u got on them??? wires could hold around 40K-60K

i put about 8k miles on it since i got it and i dont know how long it has been since they have been last changed.

they could cause miss fire if they are broken right ?

if they r broken then they don't fire at all

they dont fire but your check engine light will come on...

You can get a ohm meter and test the ohms of the wires. I think that the wires are supossed to be less than like 1000 ohms or something. Also if they look all tore up then yes replace them.
