question on antenna

hey wen i turn my radio on/off my antenna makes a funny clicking noise for about 5 seconds also it gets horrible reception all my channels are fuzzy sounding what cani do to fix this problem

i had the same problem, but mine was that my antenna won't go down anymore and it just makes that horrible noise. it was really irritating. my advice would be to just get a 2sk antenna conversion on ebay, i got mine for $40(with shipping) and just installed it yesterday. it was a pretty easy install.

if anyone is having the clicking problem then all u have to do is turn the radio on let the antenna go up as far as it can. then go out to the anntenna pull the anntenna all the way up and lube(wd-40 or whatever you weapon of choice is). then turn off the radio and the anntenna will pull itself all the way down. now it should work smoothly! this was how i fixed mine. as for fuzzy radio :what: i dunno
