Radio Wiring Question

Of course, the last owner decided to cut the wires, instead of just buying a plug. Why people do that is always beyond me.
Anyhow, I was able to get my new radio to work. My question is, he had 1 of the power wires going to the radio fuse. And I'm assuming it is what's causing my radio to reset every time I turn off the vehicle. Any idea on how I can fix this, or where I can run the wire so it doesn't constantly reset?

Thanks for any info.

There's supposed to be another wire the goes to the battery that gives it a continuous 12v+ source for memory.

Here's what all the wires do along with their color.

Radio Constant Wire 12V+: Blue/White
Radio Switched Wire 12V+: Yellow/Red
Radio Ground Wire: Black
Radio Illumination Wire: Red/Black
Radio Dimmer Wire: n/a
Radio Antenna Trigger Wire: n/a
Radio Antenna Location: Left Rear
Front Speakers Size and Location: 5 1/4″ Doors
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Blue/Green
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Gray/Black
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Red/Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Brown/Black
Front Speakers Size and Location: 6 1/2″ Side Panels
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Blue/Yellow
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Gray/White
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Red/Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): Brown/White

Yep, that's what I followed. But when I tried to wire it the way it should have been, it would not turn on. So I used the wire he had ran into the fuse box, and it turned on.
Perhaps I should try running that wire to the battery instead of the fuse.

That should work, Does that wire have a fuse in it?

If I'm not mistaking you should be able to run the yellow wire on the head unit to the battery and assuming the red wire is also run to that fuse that should fix it, Not 100% But that's How I fixed it in my friends mustang because we couldn't find the accessory wire.

Thanks! I'll have to give that a try.

Goodluck, if it doesn't work I'm sure the answer will be found, I would probably be more help if I hadn't been up for 16 hours, lol
