Lol, both my parents moved out of state by the time I was 18. Had to grow up real quick since I was staying in CA.

Good luck and thanks for your service though ;)

Age: just turned 22 three days ago

Occupation: full time student for ONE MORE WEEK! I will be graduating with a Bachelors in Business Marketing from Texas Tech University. After that I will join my brother in managing our dads auto shop (we specialize in mufflers/radiators but we take any job we can get lol)

Salary: starting off between 30-40k (haven't really discussed this with the pops). I'm very excited about this but I don't get the benefits of the corporate world

Cars: first car was a minty black ej8 that got totaled 8 months after I bought it
After that I got an 03 mitsu eclipse (worst car ever)
And now I have had my baby (99 gsr) for three years and I'm loving her everyday!

Oh. I prefer to use SGT haha

And thats what I want. I feel like a baby living at home with mom and dad and being cared for. I want to experience the outside world and what better way than joining infantry!

My Active Duty contract ends when I will be 21 y/o. I'll still be young, but well matured and ready to face the adult civilian world.
Yeah there is plenty of time for that and the military will help you mature a little bit. Just thinking back to when I was 21...lol damn that was a long time ago! Here I am looking at 7 more years until retirement form the military.

Family:
Married with 1 kid

Education:
AS concentrated engineering, working on another AS in media technologies. As long as I don't finish a bachelors I can keep getting my school paid for and racking in GI bill money. I'll finish one once I get close to my cap :)

Occupation:
Now I'm freelancing between mechanical work and photography. Was working for Exedy as the training manager, before that worked at a euro shop, and before that was an aerospace controller in the Air Force.

Type of cars owned since 16:
So many; cool ones would be:
78 BMW 633csi with a M88 swap in it (this was a grey import car, very cool cause it didn't have the big ugly US bumpers and everything was in German)
88 BMW M3
91 240 with sr20det swap
91 RX7
90 Integra LS 4dr 2.0 turbo
2011 Mazda 6

currently
1992 Integra GSR
2007 Mazdaspeed 3
2012 Mazda 5

Number of times I've been in an car accident:
1 accident, lost front traction and went straight off the side of a bank and nailed a tree dead center in my M3 :( worst day of my life.

After having a broken car for the better part of 10 years, its nice to have something stockish and reliable.
Couldn't agree more, that's why I keep the MS3 mods to the minimum.

I didn't work for a long time thanks to my parents' efforts. They worked a lot to support me until I graduated and moved out. It was great not worrying about work and not denying myself anything until I was 22-23. But now I think starting to work earlier would've been better, because now it's hard to find a job and I lack the skills to present myself well and make money.

Balance is important. Parental help is crucial, but you also need to try to make your own way. Many people start with simple jobs like couriers, waiters, bartenders, and such, which you can find in large numbers on platforms like layboard https://layboard.in/vacancies/jobs-in-uae/jobs-in-dubai/speciality/courier. You could look there for jobs too. As for me, I'm a linguist or philologist, but teaching isn't for me. I'm still looking for my passion, but for now, I work as an editor at a small publishing house. The pay, job, and team are fine for me.
