I did not nor does the article mention that Puerto Rico is a state. It is a Territory, also known as a colony, owned by the USA. This is the main reason why you are able to bounce back and forth to the mainland without a passport. If Puerto Rico was not part of the USA, then you wouldnt have those privileges or access to our country without a passport.

Our country had Territories before they became an individual state. Soon, Puerto Rico and the rest of the world will be USA owned.
