I've been seeing some local tegs that have two black dots centered on the lower part of the hatch glass, left of the wiper connection/plug. I've seen this on cars with both 94 and 98 style bodies and some with out the dots. Which has me wondering, is this a year specific thing, an OEM glass...

Make/model of the amp? Wattage draw? The cluster has a fuse in the dash. Check your grounds for the amp. And the connections on the amp too. Make sure the +/- aren't arcing to each other before getting to the amp

If you have a obd2 reader plug it in and see if the ECU is showing rpms and Mph. If it is then you can isolate the problem to the cluster or the wiring from the ECU. If either of the readings don't show I'd start at the sensors. Once you think you have the problem isolated try replacing parts...
