easiest way to figure out whether your obd1 or obd2 or obd0 is by your ecu. You are most likely obd0 with a pr4 ecu.

Ok this is going to be a stupid question but, How will i know from my ecu? like what exactly do i have to do to find it?

I doubt he's going to know how to get under it. The dizzy plugs should identify it. If he's running a different obd dizzy than the ecu, he'd have hella problems

youre correct. Only possibility is that someone swapped the plugs on a obd1 dizzy to obd0. In that case there would be some serious wire rigging showing which he will most likely see

yeah thats very true...its not hard to tell onthe ecu either its 2 plugs for obd0 and 3 for the obd1 no?

In a second gen the ECU isn't under the passenger side kick panel. There's something else there, cruise control or some random crap like that. The ECU is under the carpet on the firewall.

I thought by "kick panel" he meant the metal piece thats under the carpet that goes over the ecu. What do you guys mean by kick panel?

It's the plastic piece that covers the small area down near the floor board on the right side.

That's the engine control module harness cover or ecm harness cover.
