I actually just completed swapping the engines between my civic and integra using a pair of jackstands and that jack...that was way too much to do in a weekend with one helper who has never swapped a motor before

Edit 2: These seem good, but a bit too pricey :(. Cheaper than anything on Amazon though!

Ford Excursion Turbo diesel is 7725lbs. To just lift the front, I guess the 2 ton would do! I'm indeed leaning toward the HF $160 floor jack.
I went ahead and got those with Harbor Freight's 2 year replacement warranty for 206 dollars total. Twice the price I wanted to spend on floor jack, but hopefully will be my primary one for long time :x . I guess its good to put money towards something like that before the US dollar becomes even more devalued.

I'm wondering what kind of hydraulic oil I should use, and how often should insert it (manual says once every 3 years)? All the instruction manual says is "use high grade hydraulic fluid". How do I determine a hydraulic fluid is high grade?
