How to turn brights into lower output DIY

Sweet brad! Now ima go patend this and stealall your money muahahhahah LOL jk. Yeah I definately need my brights though so im down for the use of the brights and the low output amber bulbs. Get on it bud! :D

i used these before i did my capsule retrofit.

yellow 881/886/889 bulbs, made my own harness and locking ring from a 9005
i used to have it set up with the wedge bulb, but i wanted it to be noticable in the daytime.

it requires a bit more time on getting the lock ring to work. i gave the pair i had to a friend since i didnt need em anymore.

you would need to solder the connections, as that is how the original element and bulb are attached. i wish it were plug and play :/

So reading through this thread this seems dope ... But for the bulb to be lit do you always have to have the high beam Switch on?... Seems a little annoying to have the highs blue Indicator
On the dash all the time..

Yes you do, unless you plan on wiring it with something else. If you dont like the bulb, just take it out of the cluster IMO

Is there any website I can buy the dim bulbs without having to solder the turn signal bulb to the old housing?
