psh. my dad is an engineer not a mechanic. but i gripped the outside with vice grips, burned the rubber, twisted the inner part out.... then sawzalled a piece of the outer part, and took a screwdriver to it, hammered on that, and out it popped! then just c-clamped the new one in. voila!
