the car is in top performance except for this set back.. i check through all the wiring and check for fluids every 2 to 3 days. the last full tune up was 2 months ago. I changed all fluids, bought new filters, spark plugs, wires, distributor. i'm a newbie but where is the ecu located at? what should i look for?

i was gonna say distributor cause thats what happened to my old DA. I changed the distributor and car ran fine after that but if you got a new one then idk. if autozone wants $250 for a ecu scan I'd say fuck it and go to advanced auto spend $100 and get your own scan tool. Oh and a hanes manual they tell you all the codes and what they mean.

pop out your ecu and check the code yourself and save youeself some money
Indeed. There should be a blue plug under the dash on the passenger side. Stick a paper clip in it and watch your check engine light flash. Long blink is 10 and fast blinks counts as 1. After that just search the code and find out whats wrong with it. =D
