OEM Honda Bumper Repair - Sprayed White

did you use a plastic welder?
Plastic welder, debated using that but decided not to.

Those are used here a little too often as an easy way out so to speak.

We went with a more "traditional" approach and filled everything.
We also got new supplies in and wanted to try things out and see what we could do.

I had to use a rotary tool to grind the crack and round off edges.
Pulled out the dual action sander and 80 gritted it.
Mixed an epoxy reinforced filler with the necessary components.
Took an old Bondo spreader and layed the filler on thick.

While waiting for that to dry there were stress points on the top of the grill under the upper portion of the bumper. So I had to heat those up ever so carefully to get it to lay even with the normal posture.

Came through and 180, 2Something, and 400 gritted the ugly areas the next day.

Even threw an itr shattered lip that I repaired, will post lip fix later.



Spraying the lip next weekend. Ordered paint, and will have my little booth set up. Same boot I sprayed my car in :)
