2 way just means it has 2 speakers, the tweeter (the silver thing i the middle), and the woofer (the big speaker). There are 3 way's actually, it's a small tweeter, a larger tweeter/tiny midrange, and the big woofer.

so if it said 4-Way it has 4 speakers?
which should I get? Keep in mind i'm going to replace all 4, meaning I'm going to buy 4 speakers.

yeah i have 2 12' xplods in my car and theyre good but not great, JL audio is awesome, if u dont want the sub ill buy it from him for 150
