what did i break?!

when i was putting in my torque mount inserrt for the rear this broke. where does it go?

oh i see it broke off the fuel filter bracket wtf is this thing even for?

I think its just a vent, doesnt connect to anything. I believe it comes from the charcoal box.

I haven't found a use for it but it must do something. Whether its significant or not, that's to be determined. Acouple of other threads asked the same thing and it hasn't been answered yet, lol.

It connects to a square hole on the fuel filter (fuel filter bracket?) Its just a vent, that's all. The reason for its placement at the fuel filter could be a couple things. If it creates a slight vacuum it may draw in any fuel vapors coming from the fuel filter. If it actually releases some vapor then it is moving it away from the canister and towards the top of the hood around the cowl.

it hasnt done anything to my car so far i just tucked it by the filter an the fire wall. thanks for all the help everyone!
