This makes me happy being in the IT field with no college.
Its still a disadvantage but its probably one of the only white collar professions where you can do well without college. Of course it always depends on the hiring manager and company values. I found that managers who themselves didn't have a college degree were more likely to take you seriously as they know text book experience is meaningless. Then of course your job performance allows advancement and resume building. I had my first IT job 6 months out of high school where I greatly exaggerated my experience and bullshitted my way in the door. From there its resume building.

very nice! You usually don't see that now days.
I graduated high school when I was 17. Went to work in the oil/gas industry, got my BSME when I was 21 did about 6 years of work and went back for my Masters. They had a double major program that I only needed a few classes to satisfy so I went forward with that which automatically qualified me for a minor, all I had to do was apply for it. The tab for all of my engineering studies was picked up by my employer. I only came out of pocket to satisfy the BSPhy, which by the time I did that I could easily pay cash for anyway.

$0....literally

All cars, bike, school and house is paid for.

*highfive* I'm at $0 debt also. I hope it can stay that way. The only thing I've bought on credit is a $1500 laptop and that was just so I could establish some form of credit. I despise credit cards.

Credit cards are great. Use other peoples money while mitigating risk to yourself. Theres no reason why you cant pay it off in full every month.

I'm a bad influence, I might be in only 2 accidents. 1 was not my fault the other... Put me about 6000 in insurance debt.

Ever since then ... Lol.

Always have insurance people!!! Even if it's just liability!

Now I'm on my wife's insurance, full coverage. Cheaper than my own by a long shot tell you what.
