While that sounds like it would be the case it's not true, your coolant won't circulate through but it will still get a cool charge of air from you radiator while your moving, in fact this sounds exactly like a thermostat stuck shut.The fans job is to move air through the radiator when the car is at a stand still. That is the cause of your overheating issue, not the thermostat. If the thermostat was at fault, it wouldnt matter what you were doing, the car would over heat.
this ^^^ maybe we should crack up at her when something goes wrong with her car -.-It's really not that funny, I don't know why that would "crack you up."
Like Jake said- top off your radiator fluid, get a new fan from the junkyard.. call it a day.
