97 Ls VTec necessities

Alright guys, I've spent like an hour or so searching up the most basic Ls vtec guide but the thing that is troubling me is that i cant find one that tells me the IMPORTANT things. They just keep talking about what they're going to do with their builds and all this stuff. Can anyone just direct me to a guide that tells me the things that are necessary for Ls vtec build or just tell me? Thanks! BTW, I am hopefully going to get a B16a head with the ECU and I know that im going to eventually get a golden eagle kit :twisted:

The last 5 plus a tune will prevent your block from exploding at high rpms
