Can't turn the cam gears

I was getting ready to put a timing belt on and was lining up the cam gears etc, I can turn the right cam gear but the left cam gear will not turn at all, I tried googling what would make the cam gear not move but couldn't really find anything.

You try putting a wrench on the bolt of the cam gear and turning it like that?

which way you turning? I just did mine and it turned just fine, so not sure. Did you take the cams off at all or you just swapping belts?

counter clock-wise, Would bent valves keep it from turning? Putting new timing belt on cause old one snapped was going to do a leakdown test

Yes happened to me, you can loosen the valves to see.if that helps

Well if the belt snapped then yes, you might have a bent valve causing it not to turn. Better off taking the cams off and looking at the top to see if anything is wrong.
