Do I need a new axle? (PICS!!!)

Just washed thought I would post a quick pic before I go into detail

I need to the replace the axle right? Would Both sides need replacing and what kind of axle is it just the boot? the whole axle? and Price?

replace whole axle. once the boot is torn that much the CV joint has been exposed to too much dirt and cannot be saved.
do not need to replace both sides. but inspect the other boot for cracks.
look up the price yourself at autozone.

total will be around 120 for both at autozone. they are cheap. but you will have to return the old one to get your money back

Yeah, just inspect the other one and look for boot tears or cracking. If it looks bad, replace it too. Best to NOT buy the cheapest CV axle available because it will go bad in 4 months and you will be performing all the labor again. Don't buy a re-manufactured one either. You get what you pay for.

As long as its not clunking or vibrating on accell it should be fine, just reboot.

Make sure you buy the warranties. I go through 500-1000 in axles every month or two. You can just swap them out if you do it again.
