Exhaust rattling.

I have a greddy sp2 exhaust and in the muffler there is a piece of pipping inside the exhaust that seems to have snapped off. If it could be removed would the muffler be ok.

Just leave it alone. Thats not causing any problems.

Btw it is the interior perforated pipe in the muffler that broke.

How do you know its that piece thats causing the rattle?

Because i cAn see the loose piece in the muffler and i can physically move it back and forward inside the muffler. On top of that i think i can see where it snapped. If you look at the pic close enough so can you. You can see a pipe with in the pipe. ( ha inseption)

See if you can stick something in the pipe and hold that peice down to test if the rattle goes away or not.

Yeap i am positive that it is it. Do you think i can spot weld it in place

Nope. You could cut the pipe where its loose so you could weld the inner section and then weld the sections back together.
