Exhaust work on Integra

I am going to a muffler shop to have them do a catback exhaust for me.

I am thinking that I want to do a straight-pipe to a nice preformance aftermarket muffler, (resonator). Similar in looks to http://www.tanabe-usa.com/exhausts/files/244_img1.jpg

My buddy told me that it would sound better with one or two glass packs, thrown onto it, then the muffler.

The car is a 93 2-dr. Y'all got any opinions on the exhaust notes of this car?

So you're planning on makinga custom exhaust with no cat, one or two resonators, and a universal muffler?

Im asking for input on whether or not the exhaust will sound good without the additional resonators, (just with the muffler)

I just did a full custom exhaust yesterday. I just had it all open all the way back and I put two round mufflers connected to eachother going perpandictular to the entire exhaust. And it sounds pretty good.. Low rumble

Two round mufflers going perpendicular to the exhaust? What do you mean?

The Tanebe exhaust has one resonator and then the muffler and I know that concept-g's sound good as balls. So thats an option.

Well, after some video clips of str8 piped tegs to a muffler, I think I WILL be going with a resonator, maybe not two.

I understand. I was just asking just to be sure that we're on the same page. Are you running a catalytic converter?

That doesn't make any sense. Do you mean resonators?

One resonator will do the job.

I suggest you do run a cat. I have a cat and allot of aftermarket exhausts run cats and still sound great.

No. I do NOT have a cat on my car, in its place I have a test pipe.
I am currently looking up clips of cars with multiple resonators to hear the difference. As it stands, one seems to be where I am going.

I have no cat, but I have a test pipe in its place. I can replace it if it becomes a problem.

Damn, the str8 pipe to the muffler was a horrible idea. I would nvr want to drive that :( Str8 pipe to muffler

I couldn't afford a good muffler, so I just bought 2 round cheapo advance auto parts mufflers

does your state require emissions? if so you going to have to run a cat end of question i have a high flow magnaflow cat with 2.5 going into a spoon style muffler and its sound deep and very loud full throttle i would invest in a cat it will definately help with quieting somewhat

I ended up going with dual resonators into a nice dual muffler. Looks sorta OEM, but does NOT sound oem. It is exactly what I wanted. Ill put some clips up in a bit
