Hayvan's Euro Spec ITR // Semi-track build

Hayvan

legitimately weird.
What's up y'all?
I've been away for a while now, lot's of personal issues but that's all behind me now and the Teg is better then ever.

Best would be to start all over again so here goes;

I'm Aral, 20 years old and currently a Law student.
That's about it about me? Let's move on to the car

Honda Integra Type-R EUDM 1998 (DC2)

The first 'fase' of my project is done.
I bought the teggie all riced out and straight out of a F&F movie, see for yourself...

I managed to drive like that for about 2 weeks// :tomato:
I had to drive to the UK to source the parts I needed.
Result:

In the meanwhile I noticed that she had quite the apetite for the good ol' black liquid, so I brought her to the best garage of the Netherlands, Hondagarage.nl where she received some TLC

The end was near, just a few details left..

I'm quite pleased with the outcome, however the engine/under carriage deserved a complete overhaul aswell so that's the next step.

My goal is to turn the teggie into a fun track car with ± 250bhp.
I don't want it to be a hardcore trackslut as I'm still a student and will be semi-dailying this :lol:

We started dissassembling her last winter.

Took the engine out;

Started prepping the enginebay;

And the end result;

I noticed that even with the head being as good as new she was still an oil guzzler.
So I thought f*ck it, let's do it big.
I ordered a sleeved block by Benson's and we started building it from scratch;

Block with the new pistons;

Flowed and ported head

Tucked and wrapped the wires;

Custom exhaust welded, Vibrant freeflow mufflers. 2.5" from front to back.

And everything was put back together, the result blew our minds;

Now that everything was in and working, we started working on the details;
First up, wiretuck!
During;

After;

Tucked away nearly all the cables, the ones we couldn't we wrapped black so they don't stand out.
Battery and fusebox are in the cabin now and we put in jumper poles.
A lot of small stuff aswell which took up a lot of time..

After 500km's of carefull driving it was time to dyno and get er properly tuned;

This was the final run;

231hp v 220nm torque.
The torque rises to 200nm at 2500-3000rpm and doesn't drop under until 8000rpm :lol:

85mm CP Pistons (12.5:1 CR)

The plan was to compete in the Time-Attack championship here in the Netherlands, but unfortunately I missed the first race in April.
The second race was last week so I entered solely to test the car,

We've encountered some minor problems (leaks), otherwise the car's great, immense power but the handling could improve tho.
So that's our next priority :)

I'll be sure to update the thread regularly (unless y'all don't want me to :lol:)

That's beastly. 230hp is VERY impressive. I'll donate my B18B for you B18C. Sound good bro?

DB8 Whore
Never seen a Type R riced that much out! Haha! Great save! Love that color of the bay as well!

Thanks for the kind words :D

@klutch; Shoot, I was hoping no one would ask untill I had the works sorted.
I have HKS Hiper-D's in the front and OEM with lowering springs in the back...
The rear LCA's are rotten and we can't take the shocks off.
So I'm looking for some decent LCA's (F7?) :p

Function 7's are legit, I'd definitely go for those. Take a look at ASR products as well, you want some cornering power, that's the place to go :thumbs up

I was already thinking about an ASR brace, but I'm still hoping to find a complete F7 set :p
Thanks for the advice tho, will keep that in mind ^^

As requested by a few people, the infamous Strawberry Milkshake story.

Some up(and down)dates;

I received my new clutch, actually wanted the 'middle' class but they didn't have it in stock.
So I had to pick between street and extreme, extreme it was :lol:

That was the last part we were waiting for to fire 'er up, result:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kO2sV06SIxA

Sounds and runs like a proper beast 8)

Afterwards we checked the oil and I was shocked, this is what we encountered;

Strawberry milkshake anyone? :roll:

Apparently there was something wrong with the oil return canal, luckily my mate at Hondagarage.nl was able to fix it without dissassembling the entire engine.

After fixing this the next item on the to-do list was the exhaust.
I wasn't able to drive the car to him tho, because i didn't have an exhaust line and the car wasn't mapped.
So we had to trailer her ass over to my welder;

And that's where we are right now, exhaust should be finished any day now.
The to-do list looks a little something like this now;
Weld exhaust
Weld rollcage
Map/dyno
Reassemble everything (wiretuck, spray the interior and remove bitumen, fit new parts (canards/rims/tires)
Reallign
etc etc
