I've noticed over the past years I've driven my car, that it will have a High pitch whine that sounds like its coming from where the ECM sits in the floor boards.
It tends to do it at high rpms and gets louder as the engine revs up. Also seams to get louder when I have the heater on, Runing fast around in the mountains. It will even dose it when I'm not moving, though only at high rpm's.
I think it dose it from about 3,500-4,000 rpms and up. It sounds like the high pitch whine from comptuer hard drives but a bit higher, and also like from a old CRT tv or monitor, but louder.
I was wondering if anybody else has noticed this while driving their car.
Its a 1990 Acura integra GS with 244,000 or 344,000 miles, not certian if the odomiter got rolled back.
It has done it even before, I put in an igniter from like a 94-96? honda accord.
Also the spedo don't seam to read right unless I got 16in wheels with 205 / 55 / 16 tires.
The spedo likes to stick at about 10-20 mph after I stop, unless I hit the cluster. not sure if that would have anything to do with it.
