"glass pipes/glass packs" are another name for straight pipes in place of the cat. converter.
BTW, i just installed my ebay intake, it sounds nice, and i got better throttle reponse. not sure of gains, but it feels better. also, you can take your car to a local muffler shop, or somewhere that can weld pipes, and have them make you a custom 2.25 or 2.5 exhaust for around 100 bucks, give or take a little.
