Hello I'm brand new to this forum so please forgive me if I have posted this
in the wrong area.
I have a 95 integra gsr that's been totaled by my insurance company. The
engine is fine, and so I want to take off the OEM gsr head and sell it to
make some extra cash. The insurance company said this is fine as long as I
put another head on as a replacement, and that they could care less what
type of head I put back on. So I want to put a head that I have laying
around from a 94 integra LS in place of the GSR head i'll be taking off.
I want to know if the 94 LS head will bolt onto the 95 gsr block? The engine
doesn't need to run or anything and thus the piston to valve clearance &
head gasket is not an issue. I just basically need to get the head bolted
onto the block enough so that it's secure. Is this possible?
Will the head bolts fit? Do I use the GSR or LS head bolts? Will there be an
issue w the dowel pins? Can i just leave those out all together? Again the
engine doesn't need to run; the head just needs to be secured enough to
the block to stay on while the car is towed away. Any advice will be most
helpful. Thanks
