but do you want a bigger motor, do you want turbo..... it would be quite a waste to get a header then decide to turbo. and all of it could be a waste if you go with an engine swap.

very first thing you should do is to slam the car and set your self apart from the ricers and posers.

welcome bro, simple bolt ons like 4-2-1 header, hi flow cat, 2.25 catback, cai, cams , good set of cam gears and powertrain like you valves, springs and retainers, those are the easiest and most simplistic ways to gain power and i would lower the car, eitherbget a good set of springs or a nice full coilover

lol maybe its just me. but no one ever mentions getting a high flow cat. its essential when you want to complete your exhaust system. so yes, intake --> header --> high flow cat --> exhaust. and keeping the pipings the same throughout gives you a greater balance in power.
word.

Why do people say "headers"? That is plural! You can only have one header!
Word again.

anyways.... I can't believe this thread is 1 1/2 pages long and no smart alec has told him to do an auto to manual conversion.

....yet

I lived in Phoenix for a while, my dad lives in Prescott Valley, glad the Baseline killer got caught, thumbs down to illegal aliens, see ya bye.

SRI=10 min to install CAI=20min to install The cold air puts the air cleaner outside the engine bay behind the passanger side fenderwall-hence the term cold air intake. Unless you get a lot of flooding in your area, I suggest going with a cold air intake. As a fellow automatic owner, I'll tell you what to get so you get the most bang for your buck. Any COA will do but don't spend more than $250. Go with a 4-1 stainless exhaust manifold. get high qualtiy name brand catback. I'm kind of partial to the stock look so I would go with an APEXI world sport, Greddy SP2, or similar. Spend around $500. For suspension, try tockio matching set spring/strut comb with spc adjsutable ball joints and ingalls rear shim kit. All this can be bought from Nopi or elsewhere online for around $550-$600. Forget cam gears, or iridum spark plugs, or ignition coil, or any of that other stuff you don't need. If you want to add some more cheap power, get a nitrous wet kit and jsut jet it for a 50 hp shot-perfectly safe for an automatic. Most important, don't let anyone tell you that you can't build an automatic. Welcome to the club!
