Not getting proper oil pressure.

Just finished putting my car back together, Put new main bearings rod bearings, oem oil pump, new oem pickup tube etc. Used all new gaskets everything torqued to spec, bearings within spec. After I let it idle to warm up I let it idle another 20 minutes like I was told to do. Than I drove it around a bit. oil pressure was about 50-60 while cruising. Now my oil pressure never goes past 25. It will literally sit at the 25 psi line on the gauge and won't go up no matter what. unless i'm idleing than it sits at about 15. Any ideas what's going on? Motor runs perfect as if when it had 50-60 psi before. Not sure if it's actual low oil pressure or gauge problems but I'm not going to risk driving it like that

I was told if the sending unit or gauge was bad it would read 0 oil pressure or really high oil pressure, and if it reads low or lower oil pressure etc it's actually low oil pressure. :/

Drain the oil, look for metal shavings. If you have a magnetic drain it will be collected there. Bearing damage will cause oil pressure to drop like this. Rule out bearing damage before you drive it any further.
