Oil Consumption Around 100k?

So I have a 2012 Acura TSX SportWagon, lovely little car at around 73000 miles. But I've been reading around that around 100k to 120k they start consuming oil heavily, and while it is fixed under warranty my 8 year or 125k warranty would expire this year. Now I'm no mechanic, but I just wanted to know a couple things, like if the Acura Oil Life gauge will let me know when I start consuming more oil than usual. I'd also like to know what I can fix or do to prevent or prolong the life of the car. I'm willing to have the necessary repairs done at 100k, the same ones that would be done if the car was under warranty (which it won't be). I want this car to last as long as humanly possible, I love the car to bits. It's fantastic to drive, nice on the eyes, and sparks joy everytime I drive it. I'd hate for it to end up in a used car lot sooner rather than later. Thanks for any input or advice you may have.
