? on timing advancing for track run

How far should i advance my timing on my 95 LS for my run at the track.
My friend told me to find a happy medium between faster accelertion and top-end speed.

honestly, w/ a stock motor i'd jus leave it at the stock setting.

unless u take it to a dyno and have it tuned (will only show minimal gains), its not going to make much of a difference.

If you can do multiple runs then you keep advancing the timing in small intervals untill your times start falling off. There you will find your happy medium. I hope that you have a timing light cause it is hard to do it with out one.
