Thank you i'm very excited. Yesterday ran into a problem however my car was running like shit when I bought it after itd warm up. I figured timing which I was correct. I checked the engine time and it couldnt have been more perfect. Moved on to the distributor and it seemed fine. ( side note engine btdc was at 6 degrees.) So my buddies dad who is a mechanic who was helping me out wanted to check out the shaft. sure enough one of the teeth was busted, and shifted the rotor enough that spark timing was off. Had an old dizzy so we just used the shaft and to end a story on a happy note she runs amazing.

That's good. Make sure you get all of the maintenance done first, get some security and then start modding.

I see you're starting with the maintenence/tune-up. Good decision. Make sure you cover everything:

-replace engine oil & filter
-replace brake fluid
-replace tranny fluid
-flush and replace coolant
-replace engine air filter
-replace fuel filter
-replace spark plugs
-inspect plug wires and replace if necessary
-replace dizzy cap & rotor
-inspect front & rear brakes and replace if necessary
-inspect parking brake and adjust if necessary
-adjust clutch and replace if necessary
-rotate and balance tires and replace if necessary
-alignment
-inspect suspension & mounting bolts retorque if necessary
-inspect brake system booster, hoses, lines; ABS if applicable
-inspect ABS system
-inspect brake system lines, hoses, booster
-power steering system tie rods, axles(CV joints and boots)
-check valve clearance and adjust if necessary
-inspect throttle body & cables
-inspect FITV & IACV and clean if necessary
-replace timing belt & tensioner
-inspect water pump and replace if necessary
-oil pump?(I replaced mine)

I am sure I missed some things, basically give the whole car's powertrain and all secondary systems a thorough once over.
