Is there a difference between a GSR solenoid and a Type R solenoid? Or they the same?

This statement couldn't be more incorrect, everything type r will automatically gain you a minimum of 7whp(this even includes the head bolts and stickers)!!

Next time search the OEM auto parts catalog for both vehicles and you will find that this part has the same part number.

yep same thing. only difference would be jdm and usdm, jdm solenoids dont have a pressure switch. but all usdm's are the same.

does anyone know the bolt size and length for the 3 bolts that hold the solenoid to the head?
