they should have a fuel cut off which is the rev limiter that will not allow the motor to rev a couple hundred rpm after the red line. for example, my GSR has a red line of 8000 and the the motor will not rev past 8300. not sure about a governer cause Ive taken my car up to 140 and nothing was...

yeah I know but I dont get the false assumptions that LS's are better for turbo. Ive heard this for years and mostly from ammatures. A turbo LS will be quick though. Just look at that one guys here that hits 12's. It just matters in the tuning.

:roll: still doesnt make sense. Youd have to turn the boost up on the LS just to make up for the lack of compression and high revving of the GSR. so with more boost, which motor do you think is gonna take a dump first and still be slow?

that doesnt make sense, boost an LS and a GSR both at the same psi on the same set up and the GSR will win every time.

I dont agree with your last statment. There are many reliable ls/vtec's around where I live some of which hit 13's all motor and are daily drivers. With the oil line kits available it makes the conversion a lot easier and a lot of the pros run ls/vtec's on boosted cars. The last ls/vtec turbo...

good advise. 8) hope you get your ls moving. And really the best thing to do when you do the ls/vtec is to change the pistons.
