I can imagine. Even the stock 1.6 was tons of fun. I only put 100 miles on the car, but I did some big burnouts and drifted it quite a bit. I can only imagine what more than 3 times the power will be like.

Mine is a short nose though, the chances of the crank holding up to the amount of power I will be putting down is very slim.
Plus I've also read the larger displacement is more ideal across the board for turbos.

you should see the motor my buddy is building in his car. Should put down 180whp.

Is he doing a high compression NA build? I would love to do one with ITBs, but I want a little more power for the money.
A friend of mine is doing an escort block with a '99 miata head. He wants 5-600 whp.

Well, I took advantage of Cyber Monday sales and bought something I've wanted just as long as I've wanted a Miata. The package is coming from Japan and should be here in 20 days or less. I'm super pumped, my wallet? Not so much...

I can imagine. Forged internals aren't cheap, neither are ITBs.

I'm surprised you don't own Miata yet.

I'm suprised I don't yet. Probably because there's no track days or autox near me
There's nothing in my immediate area, but there are quite a few places within a few hours drive, including Mid Ohio.

Nice progress!
Thanks!

I decided to get all the body pieces that I would need before fabrication to decrease the time the car is sitting bare metal while waiting for paint.

Ended up ordering:
Jubiride fender flares
Slick Auto mirror mount kit
And depending on how much money I have left tomorrow I'll order a set of APR carbon mirrors.

Little update on the parts.

-My flares shipped from Japan on the 6th, as of 11pm on the 7th they were in Toronto, which is 4 hours from me. Over night parts from Japan. :phillyb: They should be here in 2 days
-My APR mirrors shipped out and should be at my US mailbox by the end of the week.
-Slick Auto shipped my mirror mounts about 2 hours ago. No ETA on those, probably 4-5 days.
-Adam made my custom gauges and sent me a little sneak peak of them. He asked me to keep it to myself, sorry guys. They look really nice though! They should be at the mailbox by the end of the week.

Not a lot of progress has been made on the car. This week is exam week so I've spent a lot of time studying. Once the parts arrive I will do mock ups. I'm excited for that.
