battery light

i tried to look this up from home but i cant pull everything up.check fuses #15,42,41 under hood.then check for voltage at the black/yellow wire on the alt.if none there,check for break lin wire.since this all happened when your bolt broke i wonder if any wiring was damaged.i hpoe this can help.

yeah fuse number 15 is the alternator speedo fuse. That was the only one blown in the car and none were blown under the hood. So now im back to square one car is charging fine(according to my mechanic which i trust)but battery light is still on?

take a piece of electrical tape and bandaid that bitch if everything is working. your cluster may just be screwed up

Voltage regulator in the alt. may be causing you the stress..

at idle whats the voltage at the battery? Then slowly start to rev the car and hold it around 3k or so and check the volt. at the battery again, are they consistent with each other?

Where did you get the alt?
