correctly jacking up car and using stands

I have to admit I have done it more than once. The tow hooks are pretty sturdy, but I always slid a tire under the driver/passender door jak point or both in case they failed and the car came falling down.

lol, sounds like the jack stands youre using are the wrong size... Try lifting by the front control arm underneath each side, then putting the jack stand under. It's not going to hurt your car to be lopsided for a bit

youd still be hit. unless your 6" or smaller
