loss of power/ bad idle

I have a 95 integra with a B20b at around 90k miles. Left it sitting in the garage for a couple weeks and when I started it again the idle was really low. After a few minutes it started going up to 15k and back down to almost 0 then back and forth. Went to drive it and out of first gear i pressed the gas and lost power it felt like something pulled the car back but i switched to second and it started driving fine, just comes to a low idle when i put it in neutral.
Havent tried anything yet, any suggestions on where to start looking for the problem.

change the oil, do a tune up, do a valve adjustment, cap rotor, plugs, wires, new gas

You can always start with replacing PCV valve.
It's been known to cause rough or poor idle

or you can check it...if it rattles its fine. if its quiet it needs to be replaced.
