Skunk2 Alpha Throttle Body

Skunk2 is proud to introduce its Alpha Throttle Body for Honda's B-series engines (also compatible with D-, F-, and H-series) in its exclusive, fine shot-blasted surface finish. Skunk2’s Alpha Throttle Body is designed to be used with Skunk2’s Pro Series Intake Manifolds as well as OEM and other aftermarket intake manifolds for bolt-on horsepower and torque gains by maximizing engine airflow, all at a competitive price.

Skunk2’s Alpha Throttle Bodies are precision die-cast from high-quality materials and include features previously offered only in our Pro Series line, like countersunk, stainless steel mounting bolts, solid brass throttle plates, fully machined bores, and idle adjustment screws for fine tuning. All Skunk2 throttle bodies undergo an extensive design and testing process to produce a throttle body that doesn't just provide more flow but retains smooth drivability and OEM throttle characteristics.

A larger throttle body is key to producing additional power throughout the powerband on modified engines with increased airflow demands. Skunk2’s Alpha Throttle Bodies for B-series engines feature a largeer bore, which results in significant horsepower gains throughout the powerband on heavily modified, naturally aspirated applications and even more on forced induction ones.

Skunk2’s Alpha Throttle Body offers Skunk2 performance, industry-leading customer service, and a limited-lifetime warranty policy, all at a price comparable to competitors' budget-minded throttle bodies. Unlike the budget-minded throttle bodies, though, only Skunk2 Alpha Throttle Bodies ensure precise fitment and the peace of mind of knowing that a Skunk2 representative is just a phone call or email away.

Skunk2 Alpha TB for B series review:

Purchased mine a few months back, because i thought running an OBD2 JDM itr ecu with a FITV equipped throttle body was causing a lot of my problems. I herd skunk2 was making a budget build line up and decided to try them out. Purchased the 66mm one and I was impressed. The package comes with the throttle body, 4 allen head screws, and a gasket. Everything is a direct bolt up and is amazing and fitment is great! the finish is awesome and eveything works as its supposed to. This tb is LS/ITR ready, although you will have to modify it to work with a GSR. However, it already comes with holes for the GSR throttle cable bracket, but the actual piece the cable connects to will have to be modified. Over all it is an amazing piece of work and i highly suggest it to anyone who is looking for a new throttle body.

NOTE: this is mainly for an OBD2 car, it does not have a fast idle but it has a connection for an obd1 charcoal container. Your idle (on cold starts) will be low if you use this on an OBD1 car so it will take longer to come up to full operating temp.

Hey guys i have a question, what big difference is there on the throttle bodys from the year 1991 and 1992-93? or are they the same?? Reason im asking is beacuse i bought a tegg and the prev owner did not tell me he had done sumthing to the engine. its a 93 LS 5spd, but i researched on it and i found out that the BLOCK was from a 91 GS AUTO and everything else is from the original 93, so idk if i need to buy the TB of a 91 or 93? PLZ HELP! thnks
